The process of waking up
Zen Poem by Phi Tuyet
First day back home after a long, beautiful journey along the beach
I woke up in the pure sounds of the birds and found myself drowning in the bliss of the emptiness
and couldn’t remember who I am…
So I took a deep breath-in, closed my eyes and walking slowly to the inner world
Centuries passing by while I was laying down on bed quietly looking into the mind and waking up memories that would remind me of who I was
And that was how I started thinking of you: the first silhouette appearing from my mind’s fog, your shining smile, the soft touch of your brown eyes when they looked at me, words you had said, movements of your fingers on my skin, warmth of your breath… when I was around!
Yes, seemed like once I was around…
Memories are as blurry as smoke but your smile was the sunlight and your breath was the winds pushing carrying the smoke away
Memories running back like a warm-vapor-flood took over my mind then overwhelmed my heart
Swimming in the pleasant of the warm-flood flow, I remembered again, who I am and why I am here
I am nothing but juat a reminder
I am here to remind you about how beautiful
and how meaningful your very-being is,
to me
and to many more…
